“Adventure” 49 and Market

Hi there Creative Friends!

I wanted to preserve this old traveling memory. I stumbled on this photo taken almost 21 years to the day and thought the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Anywhere 12x12 Collection pack is perfect for it. My sister and I visited New York in 2000 and it were such fun!

I cherish this memory and this collection has all the elements to create a beautiful layout. Isn’t it wonderful? No need to look elsewhere! 49 and Market’s flowers, embellishments and rub-on transfers are amazing!

Let me take you through the steps how I created this layout:

The background is created on the turquoise “Journal Cards” and I trimmed the “At the Coire” sheet and punched the edges all round with my postage stamp punch to repeat the design of the photo frames. I chalk the edges of the frames with Vintage Photo distress Ink. The embellishment ensemble is created with flowers, a rose gold arrow clip and elements from the laser cut sheet included in the collection pack. The Guiney Fowl feather was added as a special little detail.

A closer look of how the rose gold arrow paper clip keeps the paper elements in place. The beautiful Salmon flowers is from the “Enchanted Petals” collection.

I inserted real eyelets into the 3 tags, chalked the edges and adhered then in layers behind the photo frames. The grey and white baker’s twine is threaded through the eyelets.

A second flower and embellishment collage are created on the other side of the layout. I used various rub-on transfers to fill blank spaces on the background paper. Text, arrows and splatters. And another Guiney Fowl feather! I quite like to use them on layouts!

I found some arrows on of the barcode strips of the paper and fussy cut them. The title is the word “Adventure” from the laser cut sheets and the arrows point to the title. I darkened the word “Adventure” a little with a grey Copic Marker to make it stand out more. You will also see an old favorite of mine: Champaign: All- Purpose Ink platters randomly on the background.

I added more rub-on transfer arrows at the bottom of the photo focal point to repeat the arrows from the top. I also added a few glazed dots from the Anywhere Wishing Bubbles and Trinkets pack.

And that is it! Quick and easy with 49 and Market! Thank you for stopping by, I hope you found a little inspiration here!

 Hugs

Ezmé

"Treasured Moments" 49 and Market

Hi there Creative Friends!

What I love about the 49 and market Vintage Artistry Essential Collection is that it is neutral and so versatile. You can practically use any themed of photo with it, and the photo can be color, black and white or sepia. It all works perfectly!

We recently had a wedding in our family, you might recall the beautiful bride I scrapped recently, and this picture is her cousins as bridesmaids. The beautiful sisters made such a pretty picture! This is one of my favorite photos of the two, and the flower headbands match the Royal Spray: Orchid paper flowers perfectly!

I used the Virtue 2 paper sheet from the Vintage Artistry Anywhere 12x12-collection pack for the background. Firstly, the paper was cut to 11,5” x 11,5”and then I distressed all the edges with my distressing tool. I adhered it to a darker gray paper from a previous collection. I punched a small area with a scalloped border punch. To create more interest, I added pink water-color paint and splatters to the background as well as Rub-ons from Vintage Artistry Essentials Rub-on Transfers.

The chipboard elements were decorated with copper embossing powder.

I made a small embellishment collage on the right side of the photograph, which was raised with cardboard and foam tape.

The layers behind the photo are made up of various sized paper pieces from the same paper collection. I chalked them and then distressed them. I also added 2 file frames in between the layers. The sentiments on the file tabs and pink splats are from the Rub-on Transfer pack as well.

This is the view from the bottom of the photo, you can see I repeated the Rub-on transfer words and pink splatters here too.

No layout is complete without a sentiment, the words “Treasured Moments” is from the laser-cut element page. I chalked the edges and raised them with foam tape.

Here is a closer look at the flower ensemble. I just LOVE the 49 and market flowers!

And that is it! Thank you for stopping by, I hope you found a little inspiration here!

More Than Happy!

Hi there dear Creative Friends!

Every month 49 and Market has a sketch challenge. I encourage you to play along, there are lovely prizes to be won. See more about how to enter at the bottom of this post. This month is my turn to host the challenge.

This is my layout inspired by the June sketch. I chose the “Vintage Artistry Essentials: Virtue” paper as the background. It is my favorite sheet in the pack! I chose wedding photos of my niece as I thought it complements the photos. I flipped the sketch to suit the images on the pattern paper.

The background was constructed on the “Vintage Artistry Essentials: Virtue” paper, trimmed to 11,5” x 11,5”.  I distressed all four sides and adhered the trimmed sheet to the “Vintage Artistry Essentials: Shadowy sheet.

From the laser cut sheet of this collection I chose the fence some foliage a flag and a twig to layer with. Also, elements from Vintage Artistry Natural Nouveau Ephemera Stack.

The photographs are printed with white frames and raised with card-board and foam tape. My photo sizes are 2” x 2” and 3” x 4”.

No layout is complete without water-color splatter.  I liked the turquoise color and wanted more turquoise on the page. I painted randomly and added some splatters on the page. I chose rub-on transfers from the Vintage Artistry Essentials pack, mainly text and chevron stripes.

I added a few small flowers to the layout.

The sentiment phrases I chose from the Vintage Artistry Natural laser-cut sheets.

And that is it!
