Vintage Lap Desk

Hi there Creatives!

It is day 8 of Lockdown here by us and although it is in some ways very frustrating and scary, it does give us more time to be creative. And what more satisfying than creating something beautiful, right?

I really enjoy creating decor projects with Chalk Paint at the moment. I altered this wooden Lap Desk from Creative Talents, using their range of chalk paints and mixed media supplies. My favourite product is the Creative Talents' Fast Crack. It creates awesome cracked paint effects!

Another favourite is to Silver Leaf! I need to control myself not to put it on everything!

I also used serviettes and scrapbook paper to create a layered effect.



Creative Talents chalk paints come in a wide selection of colours. The application is easy and has a lovely finish. I did not use Wax to seal the lap desk, I used the Velvet Matte varnish.
