"Escape" - 49 and Market

Hello Creative Friends!

I have been wanting to use the Vintage Artistry Shore collection for a layout for a while. I was scrolling through my photographs I found this photo of my daughter, blissfully fishing in the harbor while on holiday at a small coastal town a few years ago. The paper collection has everything to create more than one project, I put my layout together quite fast as everything I used was there! 49 and Market makes it so easy to create.

I used 2 sheets of Vintage Artistry Shore- Barrier Reef for the background. One sheet was for the frame with the green side facing up and the other one I trimmed to 11,5” x 11,5”. I distressed all the edges with my distressing tool and adhered the smaller one with images facing up.

The laser cut sheet of this collection is filled with amazing elements and I chose the postcard, frames, net, sailboats and coral to layer behind my photograph. The photograph is printed with a white frame. The creates the illusion of another “layer” behind the photograph.

The photograph is raised with card-board and foam tape. I added more elements from the laser-cut sheet.

I also added tiny shells, art stones and mini chip-board shells.

I liked the words in brackets in the Vintage Artistry Shore Rub-Ons pack and randomly added them to the layout.

No layout is complete without watercolour splatter and for this one I used a pinky colour to match the coral. Pink water colour paint splatters randomly all over the page.

The sentiment, “Escape” is a bubble word from the Vintage Artistry Anywhere Wishing Bubbles and Trinkets. I also used dots and birds.

And that is it! Thank you for stopping by, I hope you found a little inspiration here!

Hugs

Life is an Adventure!

Hello Creative Friends!

Living in a major tourist location of my country makes me realize more often than not how lucky I am! I live in a place people travel from all over the world to see. Table Mountain in Cape Town is very special to me and like most Capetonians, I also refer to Table Mountain as “my Mountain”! Beside the mountain’s wonderous beauty, there are a lot of activities in and around the mountain, from hiking to a cable car trip to take you to the top of the Mountain. On this day we were sitting at a harbor café drinking some wine, and just enjoying the glorious day.  The new Vintage Artistry Travel Anywhere paper collection is perfect to showcase this special memory.

By now you know that I like a frame around my layouts. For the background I trimmed the “Vintage Artistry Anywhere - Edges” to 11,5” x 11,5” and distressed all the edges with my distressing tool. I adhered it to “Vintage Artistry Anywhere - Quest”. I chose “Edges:” because I wanted to create my own background with the amazing “Vintage Artistry Anywhere Rub-on transfers”.

I like the pink in the photo and used the “Vintage Artistry Anywhere – Atlas” to matt my photograph on. The “Vintage Artistry Anywhere – Fragments” and the back of the front page of the paper pack I cut in smaller pieces to layer with.  I used my “postage stamp” punch to punch all around the edges of these layering pieces.

There is a film strip on one of the laser-cut sheets that I used and a chipboard film strip to add more detail on the layers behind the photo. I distress all the pieces with Distress Ink.

Other elements from the laser-cut sheet include pink cord and small cameras.

There is a little yellow in the photograph that I wanted to accentuate with yellow flowers. I also added blue ones and to complete the flower bouquets I added “Vintage Artistry Essentials – Foliage”.  Just LOVE this product!

I also added some art-stones and pink water color paint splatters randomly all over the page.

The sentiment banners and flags complete the Layout, they are all found in the “Vintage Artistry Anywhere Ephemera Bits”.

And that is it! Thank you for stopping by, I hope you found a little inspiration here!
