Beautiful

Hi there Creatives!

We recently had a family wedding and my two nieces were the flower girls. They just looked so beautiful with the flower headbands! Just as beautiful as the Little Birdie Flowers!

Step one
I created the layout on grey card-stock with paper from the "Texture Brew" paper pack and pretty flower paper from my stash. I cut a piece of 4.5" x 11,75" and tore the righthand vertical edge, the other edges I distressed.

Step 1

Step two
I adhered the paper to the card-stock and painted an area in the centre with diluted white Gesso, not covering the area completely.

Step 2

Step three
The green fern leaves were painted with white Gesso.

Step 3

Step four
I painted the title and the chipbord with an extra layer of white Gesso to make them appear more white. While the Gesso on the title was still wet, I sprinkled it with a little Little Birdie Mica Powder to add shimmer.

Step 4

Step five
I used a 6" x 6" piece of complimenting paper and Little Birdie cheese cloth to layer behind the photograph that was printed with a small white border. The dimensions of the photograph is 3"x4" and it was raised with cardboard and foam tape.

Step 5

Step 6
When the chipboard was dry, I build embellishment clusters with the flowers, chipboard and the title. I also added glass glitter and glass domes and adhered it with Glossy Accents.

Step 6

Step seven
Finally I added word stickers and ribbon to finish the layout off.

Here are some more close up pictures.

Happy: Mixed media layout

Hi there Creatives!

I have been so spoiled with all the gorgeous Little Birdie Crafts products! All I want to do is play! This time I did a single page layout again with the gorgeous succulents and woodgrain paper. I just love this color palette!

Happy!
Supplies

I used a cream card-stock to build the layout on and trimmed the wood-grain paper to 11" x 11". Then I distress all the edges. For the first layer behind the photograph, I used a 6" x 6" sand colored piece of script paper and distressed it all around as well.

I then stenciled with the gesso and the Mosaic stencil, and splattered with Color Splash and Plum Gold Tinted metallic paint. I used  a heat tool to dry.

The next layer is a piece of Burlap and old book paper.

I painted the title with Tinted Metallic Paint: Golden Plum, and the dragonfly charm with white Gesso.

Create a cluster of flowers, succulents and leaves and add the painted title. I raised the title with foam tape.

To add more detail I adhered Crystal Drops with glossy Accents, as well as  pearls and word stickers.

I hope this leaves you inspired to create something beautiful !
